WAVE RIDER NO BORDER
Under the motto of “No Borders”, the established sneaker store uses the Wave Rider 1 to paint a picture of transboundary running influences.
The deep blue upper is made from a mix of nylon and pigskin nubuck, drawing its inspirations from the famous blue track of Berlin’s Olympic Stadium. In contrast to that, a grey tone was used on the sole unit to symbolize Japan’s asphalt roads. To connect these two different running grounds, a white line on the vamp alludes to the dividing lines on both a road and a running track.
To highlight the shoe’s technology with a little aesthetic pop, the Wave Rider 1’s signature Wave Plate cushioning is done in a glow-in-the-dark-yellow. Last but not least, reflective details hit the shoe’s piping and lace keepers to light up this first Kazoku collab even more.
